Description of Significance THE MAHONEY HOUSE AND GARAGE IS ONE OF THE TWO BEST EXAMPLES OF SPANISH COLONIAL REVIVAL ARCHITECTURE IN NORTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. BUILT IN 1928, THIS HOME REFLECTED THE WEALTH THAT THE ORIGINAL OWNER ATTAINED FROM OIL ROYALTIES FROM THE THREE SANDS FIELD NEAR TONKAWA. MAHONEY HOUSE IS A TWO-STORY SQUARE BRICK RESIDENCE WITH A CROSS HIPPED ROOF. TO THE EAST OF THE HOUSE IS A DETACHED DOUBLE GARAGE WITH A GABLED ROOF. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 7/3/1984.
